Resources and frameworks for getting started with Razor.
See how Razor was used to implement the software development process used by the Eolus Project and Monte Carlo team at Los Alamos National Labs.
Building a Better Bug Trap
The lab involves a major software release with minor changes requested by the customer. The lab has four acts: reviewing changes, implementing changes, generating a new release, and reviewing the implementation with the customer

Meet AL
Al Menendez
Al has led several product configuration management initiatives for companies like Alliance Resource Partners, SAIC, NOAA, Terayon, NSA, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, and Northrop-Grumman.
Al led one particular effort at Kennedy Space Center. The task entailed leading a team of developers and overseeing the configuration management initiative for the Kennedy Space Center's
Checkout Launch and Control System.
In support of over 200 engineers and developers, Al set up role-based permissions, and message-based notifications in Razor based on a customized process defined by NASA in compliance with CMMI level 3 and ISO 9003.
The process included a closed-loop issue management and a change control tracking system that required approval to modify files/objects.
Implemented in Razor, the server runs on a UNIX platform and clients run on both UNIX and Windows.
The effort included
- 300 software packages
- 15,000+ software files
The system runs during off-hours and
executes a full or incremental build, analyzes the results, and notifies developers.
